About Us

We originally came together as a coach and client.
For years afterwards we were Early Childhood Directors supporting each other,
and we are now dear friends with similar values and passions,
wanting to do more to make a difference.

Debbie Kemp

Debbie Kemp was an Early Childhood Owner-Director for 8 years until late 2021. She has also been a leadership coach since 2010 and not only used those skills with her own team but has also enjoyed speaking at conferences and supporting other centres when the opportunity arose. Debbie now focuses on co-creating amazing transformations through leadership coaching, and being Mum.

Naomi Hardiman

Naomi Hardiman has worked in the Early Childhood profession for over 20 years. She has excelled as a Centre Director for many years and in 2022 became the Operations Manager of Blossom Preschool, overseeing several centres. Naomi is also a Mum, her daughter attends one of her centres.

Over the years we’ve had many conversations about the people side of Early Childhood, about the importance of our profession, and the need for Educators to feel valued, appreciated and supported, so that they can be motivated, inspired and productive team members.

We have a vision of early childhood being a profession where amazing, empowered Directors lead teams of motivated and inspired Educators, all of whom are widely respected professionals for their highly valued work. This is definitely happening in some centres, but we also know there are many Directors and Educators who feel unappreciated, exhausted and burnt out.

We created Empowering Educators to empower and support Early Childhood Directors to co-create a motivated and inspired team so that their (the Director’s) focus can shift towards compliance, meaningful engagements, consistent critical reflection, embedded practices, referrals and revenue.

We offer programs at a range of support levels and price points, so that all Early Childhood Professionals may benefit from our work, at a level that is appropriate for each individual.
